This new Yacht Shared Ownership program enables costs to be shared by 2, 3 or 4:

the acquisition cost of your new boat, fully equiped and ready to cruise safely in the Mediterranean sea,

the recurrent fixed costs (harbor, insurance, maintenance,…) ;

You enjoy your boat according to the chosen ownership model:

during the peak summer period (July, August) you may organize your cruise that will be 2, 3 or 4 weeks long (depending on your share) from the base harbor; cruise combinations with the other co-owners, in order not to come back to the base harbor, are possible;

for the rest of the year, you can enjoy your boat for one week a month (for a quarter share), one week every three weeks (for a third share) or every other week (for a half share), ideal for long week ends !

The planning is fine tuned every year to maximize your satisfaction;

Your boat is fully managed by Movado Marine which handles the following for you:

a place in harbor within the area of your choice,

all administratives hassles such as insurance and local tax matters,

general routine care of your boat including regular cleaning,

comprehensive maintenance (yearly hull painting, engine revision,etc...),

organizing a co-owners yearly meeting for, among other things, validating the past shared expenses and voting the next budget;

You really own the share of the boat

through the boat's registration documents where your ownership share is stated or, in option, through a dedicated company (a "Société Civile") formally issued for the co-owners, that better protect them on a legal basis,

so that you may re-sell it through Movado Marine at any time during the program.

You may exit this program

at the end of it, after 10 years, where the boat is sold and the subsequent proceeds returned to the co-owners,

at anytime before the end of the term by selling your share through the Movado Marine network.

We organize the launching ceremony of your boat with all co-owers (2, 3 ou 4) and take advantage of that opportunity to have the first meeting of the shared ownership:

Getting to know the other co-owners,

Detailled presentation of the boat,

Recalling the main points of the MMM shared ownership rules that settle the rights and obligations of the co-owners vis à vis the relations between them and Movado Marine,

Recalling the annual planning of your boat that sets, for every co-owner, the usage weeks in summer (july, august) and for the rest of the year,

Presentation of the first year fixed expenses budget, that encompasses the
• harbor place rental,
• all risk insurance,
• administrative tasks and fees,
• routine care that enables maintain a very high standard:
- entire cleaning of the boat before the next co-owner arrives,
- fixing any small problems that may occur,
• turnkey maintenance of the yacht, including:
- engine revision by a professional,
- hull anti-fouling every year,
- safety equipment revision,
• provision for any potential heavier repair and accessories repurchase that would need to be done,
• management fee of Movado Marine.

Voting that first yearly budget and payment of the budget shares by the co-owners, just before the ... Welcome Cocktail on board !

Your first yachting year then starts, during which

Movado Marine will be available at any time :
to answer any question you may ask,
in case of a boat problem in the harbor or during your cruise,

A special summer meeting will be organized just before the July-August period starts in order to finetune any particular cooperation that some co-owners would have in order to hand over the boat in a different location than the base harbor.

Every year Movado Marine will organize the shared ownership meeting which aims at:

Reviewing the past year:
• good and bad things,
• problems needing to be fixed,
• accounting report,

Giving "quittus" to Movado Marine as for the good management of the boat, and Renewing its management mandate for the coming year,

Approving the new fixed expenses budget for the coming year, including any potential exceptional expenses for heavy repair or accessories replacement,

Enjoying a cocktail between yachting "amateurs" who form a new community: the Movado Marine Multiproperty one !
